What is a Steam Room?
Designed for the purpose of relaxation, healing and cleansing, a steam room is a heated space that is full of steam and moist heat.
Heated to between 100°F to 120°F (40°C–50°C) and designed to operate at 95 to 100% humidity, the wet heat soothes, detoxifies and rejuvenates.
Added aromas, essential oils, salts, herbal infusions and amethyst crystals can all increase the benefits and enhance the steam experience.
Types of Steam Room
HAMMAM
Traditionally, the hammam is divided into three rooms where temperatures increase gradually (but can take the form of one tiled steam room). The heat and steam in the hammam are designed to cleanse and exfoliate impurities from the body.
RASUL OR SERAIL
The Rasul Mud Room is a spa treatment room or chamber where you can enjoy a traditional Arabian-inspired cleansing treatment that combines the health enhancing properties of heat, steam and mud.

Steam Room Design & Installation Recommendations
A steam room is a moist environment, so it’s important to avoiding construction materials which are subject to corrosion or decay.
Tanking the room, sealing and waterproofing all inside surfaces, ventilation (good airflow is crucial to maintaining fresh steam), ceiling height, sloping the ceiling and seats inside the steam enclosure (to allow condensation to run off the interior surfaces), steam outlet location, seating or bench arrangements, lighting, keypads, floor drains and non-slip floor surfaces should all be considered.
Additionally, choosing the correct size steam generator is vital, as is selecting an area to mount the steam generator which will allow for access and sufficient space for servicing.
